RE: Maxxis (D) vs. Carlisle (E) vs. Marathon (C)

I would add that many tire dealers know very little or not anything at all about trailer tires, due to the fact that ST tire sales make up very little of their overall sales. A classic example is that a few tire dealers around here told me that Carlisle tires are an American tire.

RE: passed up the bighorn

Boy I wish I had to "settle" on a Carriage!!!! :) Congrat's! As nice as Heartland is I think I'd take the Carriage anyday. Same here.

I have had 2 sets of Maxxis tires, in both sets, all were made in Thailand. But I stand corrected. RE: The good people of Sydney NS

Me and my wife are touring the Maritimes with our truck and trailer and happened to need an urgent mechanical help during our trip. TMBLSN wrote: There are at least five things wrong with that sentence. Then TMBLSN suggested the following corrected sentence: "My wife and I were touring the Maritimes in our truck and trailer and urgently needed a Mechanics help during our trip." Be careful when you point the finger at someone else's mistake that you aren't making one yourself. Your correction of the OP's sentence also needs a little help. Looks like you improperly capitalized the word mechanic and left out the necessary apostrophe in the same word as follows: "...needed a mechanic's help..." Dennis and Cindy Henderson fulltiming, currently at Crabtree Meadows at milepost 339 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina Game..Set...Match..for Dennis & Cindy Henderson!!!

RE: hankook tires

Grizzly128, Maxxis ST tires are made in Thailand, not China.

RE: Switch it up,,,good exp. with Chinese Tires

Buy American. Save an Americans job!!!!! There are NO American manufacturers of any major tire brand for ST rated tires. Makes too many sparks towing down the road with NO TIRES :) On a more serious note I refuse to use tires made by folks who are trying to kill our pets or our children. I use Maxxis which are made in Thailand. Actually, Maxxis is a Taiwanese company that makes really good tires. My Maxxis ST tires are definitley made in Thailand as skipnchar said. Maxxis makes other types of tires in Taiwan, I think they are ATV tires or bicycle tires.

RE: Maxxis (D) vs. Carlisle (E) vs. Marathon (C)

Sure is confusing for us that are looking to replace them before heading South for the winter...I have a hard time finding a source for Maxxis in Alabama. You can have them delivered to your door after ordering them from various online tire stores or by ordering them direct from the Maxxis store at Maxxis.com.

RE: Maxxis (D) vs. Carlisle (E) vs. Marathon (C)

Unless your rims are rated 80 psi you should get Maxxis load range D. If your rims are rated 80 psi get the Maxxis load range E and forget the Carlisles. Maxxis is probably the best 15 inch ST tire there is. Very few, if any, negative comments about Maxxis ST tires. The same cannot be said about the Carlisles. A search on "Carlisle tires" on this forum will provide you with much insight.

RE: new tires

I agree with SH & skipnchar. I have the Maxxis load range E. It's an excellent 15 inch ST tire.

RE: Trying to find Bunk Bed 5th Wheel with lots of Counter Space

Sundance fifthwheel bunkhouses have what I consider lots of counter space. They are manufactured by Heartland and would be easily towable with your F-350.

RE: Proud new Cruiser owner

Congrats on your new Cruiser. For your info Maxxis and Denman tires are available in load range E 15 inch . I changed my original tires to 15 inch load range E Maxxis tires on my Cruiser.

RE: Is this a good price (winterizing my 5er)

If you are unable or unwilling to winterize your unit yourself, I would say that this is the going rate to have this service done.

RE: CrossRoads ?

I am the second owner of a 2006 Crossroads Cruiser. Not too long ago, I discovered my axles were bad. I contacted Crossroads, and very politely made them aware of my axle situation. They offered to replace the axles and tires at no charge to me if I returned it to their facility or send me brand new axles that I would replace at my cost. I chose to have the new axles sent to me and I would cover the costs of replacement. Crossroads were under no obligation to help me but they did come through for me, thus I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service.

RE: Online store for pruchasing generators?

I bought one once from: www.northerntools.com. They are a pretty reputable company.

RE: Chinese Trailer Tires

ol Bombero-JC you are right, the Maxxis are hard to find. You can buy them online on the Maxxis site but they are more expensive. I bought mine from an online dealer in Jacksonville Florida that sells them cheap but has been out of stock for sometime now. And I definitely agree with you about the Carlisles.

RE: Chinese Trailer Tires

Maxxis trailer tires are made in Thailand and appear to be of good quality.

RE: 2005 Ford F350 - Mileage on the 6.0 and is it reliable?

I would buy your next truck in the U.S. and pay half of what you would pay here in Canada, that's what I plan on doing.

RE: Delamination in the sidewalls

Assuming that your unit is no longer under warranty, I would try a boat repair facility. They are familiar with fiberglass repair. If still under warranty, take it back to the dealer.
